Italy by way of Germany

Howdy Everyone!

I'm back in Europe!!! Get excited! That means more pictures and fun crazy stories. The first funny story is that I flew to Germany and need to be in Assisi, Italy :/ Oh well, this is the perfect opportunity to spread my adventurous wings and see what's in Germany (from the view of the train that is). I got a train ticket to Italy so I can see all the glorious countryside of Germany and Austria on my way. So far it's been pretty awesome scenery. Except every time there's a perfect picture I miss it because we're going so fast (that's why I don't have any pictures yet).

I also witnessed a very beautiful thing in the DFW airport before flying to Germany. I would say that at least a quarter of the passengers were military. And while I was waiting to board I saw a man in military outfit standing with about 9 or 10 other people, who were obviously his family. They were all holding hands with their heads bowed. It was a marvelous sight of love and trust in God's protection as they prayed over their beloved son/brother/friend/significant other. And then the hugs and tears came. It was very touching to have seen this take place, and I was reminded of the movie Love Actually and how airports are a place of farewells and reunions.
